April 30, 2016 will go down in Body Cycle history as one of the best days ever. Street Tails Animal Rescue rolled through our doors bringing with them kittens, puppies, and furry friends to brighten our day. The goal wasn’t just to get these precious creatures adopted, but to raise awareness and money for this amazing organization.
STAR is an incredibly special place that takes in the high needs cases that would otherwise be euthanized at shelters and gets them the medical help they need. STAR is able to do this because of generous donations from people like us and our lives are infinitely better because of the work they do. I brought my puppy, Ella, to join in on the fun.
I adopted Ella from STAR just over a year ago and it was really wonderful having her there as a “spokes-puppy” for the organization and they were so excited to see her! Ella would have been euthanized because she had mange, which was easily cured with $35 worth of medication. That is literally all she needed, but large shelters just do not have the time or resources to dedicate to these animals. I, personally, am so thankful for organizations like STAR. Otherwise, I would have never gotten my baby girl, Ella.
We raised over $1,000 on Saturday and on behalf of all of us, furry and non furry friends alike, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our event was a huge success and we look forward to doing it again next year!
